In 1982 Arctic's snowmobile service parts and accessories business was sold to Certified Parts Corp. The sale included all Arctic Cat and Scorpion parts inventories together will related tooling equipment. Also included in the sale were the Arctic Cat, Scorpion and Arcticwear trademarks and manufacturing rights. Aktiv in Sweden leased the rights from Certified Parts Corp. to produce Panther sleds in the early to mid 80s
